AAYTE and Office Depot

Saturday, September 8, 2007 - More than 30 kids came out to the courts at Cecil B. Moore in North Philadelphia for a special "Back to School" tennis clinic AAYTE offered as part of the X-Offenders for Community Empowerment's "Stop the Violence Rally".  Most of the kids were experiencing tennis for the first time while a few summer NJTL participants got the chance to show off some of their newly learned skills on the court.   After the clinic each youth received a book bag with school supplies donated by Office Depot to help them prepare for their upcoming first day of school.  AAYTE had over 250 youth participate in and receive book bags with school supplies this past week at special "Back to School" tennis clinics at public parks throughout the city as part of our "Love 2 Serve" intiative.
