Caesars Tennis Classic

Arthur Ashe Youth Tennis and Education is very excited and honored to have been designated as the official non-profit recipient of the first annual Caesars Tennis Classic, which is being held at Caesars in Atlantic City on Saturday, April 10.

The formal announcement was made at a press conference on Tuesday, February 2, which was attended by President Kenny Holdsman and Director of Tennis Lance Lee. Kenny and Lance joined Ivan Lendl and others for a lunch conversation at the Comcast Center where the media announcement was delivered.

We will be receiving equipment donations and recognition both before and during the event. Lance is in the process of identifying a small number of our young people to participate in a mini-clinic and as ball girls and ball boys throughout the Caesars Tennis Classic, with the chance to meet the players and Venus Williams, the hostess and mistress of ceremonies for the event.

The Caesars Tennis Classic is an exhibition tournament that will feature four US Open Champions - Venus Williams, Andy Roddick, Marat Safin and Mats Wilander, and feature tennis legend Ivan Lendl's first match since his 1994 retirement.

We are hopeful that our community will be represented in a big way at this premier event.
